About Me
I’m a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Tokyo, with a passion for building scalable infrastructure, designing cloud systems, and exploring the intersection of security and software engineering.
Currently, I work at メルカリ (Mercari), where I operate and maintain one of Japan’s largest e-commerce platforms serving 10M+ monthly active users. I lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, design developer experience improvements, and architect solutions that empower thousands of engineers to ship faster and more reliably.
What I Do
My expertise spans the modern DevOps and infrastructure landscape:
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP with deep Kubernetes expertise
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, CDK8s
- Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, Istio, Docker
- CI/CD & Deployment: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Rollout, Spinnaker
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry, Datadog
- Programming: Go, Python, Bash, Node.js, C++
What I Like
- Playing pianos <3 I plan to record more, but currently this is what I have check it out on Instagram
- Watching Anime and Japanese TV shows. I loved anime & manga growing up, but funny enough living in Japan changed things a bit. I still watch sometimes for Japanese learning and the joy, just not as frequently as before.
- Playing Survival Chaos, a custom Warcraft III map from 2002 that’s still actively maintained. I’m an old-school person who appreciates nostalgia. sometimes the best gems are the ones that have stuck around.
Education
National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University (formerly National Chiao Tung University)
- Bachelor’s: Computer Science (2012–2016) • GPA: 3.48/4.3
- Master’s: Computer Science (2016–2017) • GPA: 3.9/4.3
- Thesis: SymGDB Symbolic execution integration for debugging
I worked pretty hard during my student days, diving deep into security, reverse engineering, and systems programming. I got to share my CTF knowledge at HITCON community events, which was fun.
Open Source & Speaking
I’ve contributed to the open source community through speaking engagements at major security conferences:
- DEF CON China: Spoke about Triton and symbolic execution on GDB
- HITCON Community: Shared knowledge on CTF for beginners
Some projects I’ve worked on:
- SymGDB: A plugin bringing symbolic execution capabilities to GDB
- Bamboofox CTF Training Platform: Educational resources for CTF competitions
My GitHub profile reflects my journey through infrastructure, security, and developer tools.
