The network
One request for https://example.com/, running. Every cable
here has a length in milliseconds and every device takes a moment to
think, so the proportions are the real ones: two hops across the house
cost less than a fifth of a millisecond, and one hop to the server costs
nineteen.
Click anything — a device, a cable, a packet in flight — and the panel beside the map says what it is and what it is doing. The tables fill in as the simulation runs, because that is how the devices themselves learn.
